New release from Ferron

Folks have been waiting for the new album from Ferron, and here it is. Turning Into Beautiful, has just been released--the first studio recordings in almost ten years--and she will be playing at Joe's Pub on Wednesday night. As the press kit says, "Ferron has danced in and out of the spotlight. She is nothing less than an icon of the women’s music movement having pioneered a concert circuit that paved the way for artists like Michelle Shocked, Suzanne Vega, Tracy Chapman and Ani DiFranco." Ain't that the truth. I can't wait to hear this.

wow!...what a gem your bloggy is, love the slide show of "art and artists" - your pics of the women in the white hats are just great...!! and i see too the work of one of my former instructors in the group exhibit (Krystof!), who i met in Banff at the Banff School of Fine Arts. He was someone passionate and fun to hear speak he would always say the work you do has to matter. It can't simply be a nice surface to look at. -thanks for posting your pics here - Michael ~ mdintoronto
